Description
Does anyone remember the Pixar short "Geri's Game"? It was shown in theatres with A Bug's Life and it was about an old man playing chess with himself.
It starts with long slow takes of Geri switching between his two "personalities", then it cuts back and forth quickly like they're actually two different people, and it ends by zooming out to show that he's been alone the entire time.
I love Lord of the Rings to death, but the first time I saw the Gollum/Smeagol scene in The Two Towers, I thought Peter Jackson had copied off of that short!
Anyway, Gollum seems to think that he gave a more memorable performance. I agree with him.
